ViMLoCers in ARL’s Leadership and Career Development Program

ViMLoC is proud to announce that two of our own have been selected as fellows for the Association of Research Libraries’ (ARL) Leadership and Career Development Program (LCDP). Maha Kumaran and Cecilia Tellis from ViMLoC were selected, as well as one other Canadian, Sarah Dupont, for the 24 spots available.

In North America, not many visible minority librarians have advanced to top library administrative positions. As part of ARL’s priorities for diversity, equity, and inclusion, this yearlong program is designed “to prepare mid-career librarians from historically underrepresented racial and ethnic groups to take on leadership roles in their careers and in the profession at large.”
