POSITION OVERVIEW

This exempt position provides vision and leadership for developing and implementing information technology solutions and initiatives that improve cost effectiveness, service quality and access to services.

Reporting and accountable to the CEO, the Director, Integration and Technology, and Resource Management actively collaborates with the Library’s senior leadership team to achieve strategic goals and operational objectives. The Director is responsible for leadership, development and oversight of strategy and service delivery for four areas: (1) Information Management/ Information Technology (IM/IT), (2) Collections & Technical Services (CaTS), (3) Resource Management. and (4) Data Security.

The Director advises the CEO and the senior leadership team on IM/IT risk and resource management matters and identifies opportunities for integration of processes to improve library service delivery. As a member of the senior leadership team, contributes to identifying, developing, and implementing strategic initiatives, policies, plans, collections and programs necessary for the successful operation of the Library.

Our ideal candidate holds an MLS or MLIS degree from an ALA-accredited library school and has completed a degree, diploma or certification in computer science or related field. An equivalency of education and experience may be considered.

This position is excluded from the union membership. We offer a competitive compensation package that includes base salary, extended health and dental and participation in the Municipal Pension Plan.

This position is a hybrid of in office and remote work.
