We are offering a permanent full-time opportunity for a Professional Librarian who is interested in supporting these goals. 

As the Librarian, Literacy and Lifelong Learning, you will report directly to the Division Manager, Information Services and be responsible for the planning, delivery and assessment of adult services and programs with a focus on literacy (print and digital) and lifelong learning. You will oversee literacy (print and digital) and lifelong learning services, initiatives and training for staff and customers that support community needs. The successful candidate will actively engage with the community to encourage meaningful connection. The position holder also participates in the planning and delivery of programming, training and outreach system-wide; merchandises and maintains collections at the Central Library; and functions as Person-in-Charge (PIC) on a regular basis.

Our ideal candidate will also possess excellent communication and instructional skills. Excellent public service skills to interact positively and build relationships with customers in a way that meets their unique needs, regardless of their age, background, or ability level are also essential. An MLS, MIS, or MLIS is also a requirement of this position.

Salary range $60,609 – $70,303
