The Cultural Diversity and Inclusion Super Conference Bursaries are available to support Ontario recipients in their career in information/librarianship. These bursaries are intended to provide access to the OLA Super Conference to applicants identifying as Indigenous, Black, or a person of colour, who may otherwise not have the opportunity to participate. Selection will be made based on demonstration of need.
The application deadline is Friday, December 16, 2022.
There are two bursaries available.
- Travel and Registration. The recipient will receive one (1) full Super Conference in-person registration as well as up to $1000 to cover eligible travel expenses to the conference. Acceptable expenses include travel costs and accommodations.
- Registration Only. The recipient will receive one (1) full Super Conference registration, in-person or virtual.
Criteria
- The successful candidate who receives the travel and registration bursary must attend the Super Conference in person in February 2023.
- Following the conference, the successful candidate must submit a short, five question report on how this professional development opportunity contributed to their career goals by April 30, 2023.
Selection
Applications will be reviewed by members of the Cultural Diversity and Inclusion Committee. The successful applicants will be contacted by email in late December.
