Librarian, Knowledge Management – Kingston, Frontenac and Lennox & Addington Public Health

KFL&A Public Health is a local public health agency with over 200 staff and 150 volunteers who deliver public health programs and services to the people of the KFL&A area. There is an immediate opening for a Librarian, Knowledge Management.

The librarian, under the direction of the Director of Knowledge Management, responsible for planning, coordinating, administering and evaluating library and information services that support public health programs and services. 

The successful candidate will have a Master’s Degree in Library and Information Sciences and two years librarian experience, preferably within a health, education, or research-focused environment. Demonstrated experience providing effective online searching services, using both the bibliographic databases (MedLine, CINAHL, etc.) and the internet, knowledge and application of all core competencies of library and information science, proficiency utilizing library management software such as EBSCOhost and Ovid platforms, and cataloguing interfaces and reference management software.
