Black GLAM in Canada

Black GLAM in Canada group is an informal community of Black- and Black-multiracial-identifying GLAM workers and students. We exist to create a collaborative, beneficial, and enabling environment to share experiences, seek advice, and work towards common goals. Rooted in mutual respect, inclusivity and solidarity, our group fosters dialogue, mentoring, and professional development that reflects our diverse identities and experiences in the GLAM sector.

We are committed to building a community that affirms our voices and intersectional lived experiences while strengthening our presence in the fields we work in. Individuals at all career stages from student to retirees are welcome to join by using this form. 

We intend to hold up to four virtual events annually. The Black GLAM group can help organize informal events/ get togethers for members living in the same areas or attending the same conferences/events.
