Call for Proposals: C&RL News “Perspectives on the Framework” Column

College & Research Libraries News and ACRL’s Student Learning and Information Literacy Committee invite your proposals for the publication’s “Perspectives on the Framework” column. This bimonthly column provides a forum for librarians to share practices and perspectives related to the Framework for Information Literacy for Higher Education.

Now that the Framework has been part of academic librarians’ work for nearly a decade, we are interested in how the Framework has shaped your pedagogical practices and how, in turn, your experience has shaped your views of the Framework. For example, how do your own identities, and/or your work with diverse and underserved populations, inform your understanding, use, or critiques of the Framework? Alternatively, you might consider how the Framework relates to the challenges and opportunities posed by online learning, shifting political landscapes, challenges to intellectual freedom, and advancements in artificial intelligence, for example. The format is flexible: past columns have shared Framework-based lessons, proposed changes to the Framework, analyzed a practice through the lens of a particular frame, and more. Columns are limited to 2,000 words.
