Ontario Library Association Communities of Practice

The Ontario Library Association (OLA) recently launched their Communities of Practice (CoP). These online networks are designed to bring people together, spark conversation, and deepen professional connections. If you’re interested in engaging in the profession more, but can’t devote time to a committee, this is the place for you. It’s free as an OLA member.

We recommend the Inclusive Libraries CoP that would align with some of the work that ViMLoC does, but there are other CoPs to find your fit and you can be part of mulitple (Technology, Francophone, Indigenous Librarianship, Climate Action, Library Research, Bookmobile, etc.). Besides the discussion forum, there are also monthly meet-ups. The Inclusive Libraries CoP has an online monthly meet-up on the 2nd Tuesday of Every Month, from 12:00-1:00pm EST. The next would be July 14th!
